In my ongoing quest to wear less black and brighten up my wardrobe with more color, I was shopping at Nordstrom the other day with my sister Liza and stumbled upon this dress. Does an item of clothing ever just speak to you to the point where you start to think it was made especially for you? Obviously this wasn’t, but if I ever designed a Spring party dress for myself, this would be it. And since the dress is a pretty bold statement on its own, I kept my accessories nice and simple as to not take away from its beautiful details.
Speaking of Spring, it’s around that time that I’m starting to go through my whole closet and say ‘out with the old, in with the new.’ Isn’t it funny when you come across a piece you no longer wear, but you remember when you were infatuated with that piece and wore it on repeat for months and months? I came across this pink bandage skirt the other day and remember when I wore it in college pretty much every weekend and just thought it was THE cutest. It’s so interesting to see how even your own personal style and taste can change so quickly.
Do you do a regular closet cleanout, and what do you do with your old clothes – donate, sell online, etc?!
